The Target Beauty Box is an intermittent beauty box, usually quarterly, but not on any specific schedule and not available via subscription (you just buy it when it goes up for sale).
It offers a variety of beauty supplies in a mix of full size and samples and usually costs $5 w/free shipping (sometimes $7). This one was $5. Each box has a theme (this time it’s “Fall”) and they generally sell out within hours of being released so you have to be fast!
The unboxing! Also each box comes with a card detailing everything inside, and a $3 off coupon for beauty products at Target.
Here’s what I got:
SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil, $4.40 This is an oil-based lotion that’s meant to restore moisture and shine to color treated or chemically processed hair — mine is both! It feels heavy, and might weigh my hair down, but I’m looking forward to trying it (in very small amounts!).
Aquaphor Healing Ointment (sample) Cutest little sample ever! Love these little bottles, wish it was a chapstick though. Not in need of skin cream right now, but will toss in my purse for those annoying moments when you suddenly realize your elbows are super dry (ha).
Curls Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream, $3 I’m getting a lot of leave-in hair products lately so it will take me a bit to get to this one (I have a thing about using one up before I start on the next) but I like that it’s meant specifically for curls!
Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner (deluxe sample) This looks like a good product for me as well, it’s a leave in (which could weigh my hair down) but also a “lightweight spray,” which sounds promising.
Dove Quench Absolute Creme Serum (full size), $6 Another promising sounding product! Meant to moisturize, protect, and help curls stay defined. Looking forward to seeing if those claims are true.
Colgate Optic White Platinum Express White Toothpaste (Deluxe sample), $1 Not a fan of whitening toothpastes, but it’s no biggie. These little minis are always fun to have around. Great for travel and kids camp trips and everything else. We always use them up.
Total value: $15+
Summary: Happy with this box! Not a lot I would have bought anyway but a few fun hair products I’ll enjoy trying, and everything will get used. A great value for $5!
