The Target Beauty Box is an intermittent beauty box, usually quarterly, but not on any specific schedule and not available via subscription (you just buy it when it goes up for sale). This time two boxes were released together, this one and “Head of Class.”
It offers a variety of beauty supplies in a mix of full size and samples and usually costs $5 w/free shipping (sometimes $7). Each box has a theme (this one is “Honor Roll”) and they generally sell out within hours of being released.
The unboxing! I actually ordered and received this box back in July, this belated post marks the end of my catch-up plan after getting a little behind after a busy summer.
Each box comes with a card detailing everything inside, and a $3 off coupon for beauty products at Target.
Here’s what I got:
Olay White Strawberry Body Wash (3 oz sample), $1 Smells really good. And is nice and bubbly. And that’s all I need in a shower gel. Love it!
Bathery Delicate Pouf, $2 I was overdue for a new one of these and had forgotten how nice they are — they really do make an awesome lather. Goes great with the Olay bodywash.
Covergirl Outlast All-Day Primer (full size), $9, Honestly haven’t used this yet — it’s just been too hot here yet to layer so much on my face. But it’s getting cooler and I’m really interested in trying it out.
Goody Ouchless Elastics, $1 Basic elastic hair ties — not useful at all for my short hair! Passed these on to my sister-in-law and her two girls. (These also came in the Target Head of Class Beauty box.)
Burt’s Bees White Tea Facial Wipes, $2 Love these — have been getting lots of facial wipes in sub boxes lately and have gotten hooked on them. And already love Burt’s Bees so really happy to see these.
NYX Butter Gloss Strawberry Parfait (full size), $5 This looked like an obnoxious shade of pink to me at first (it’s exactly the same on the inside as the outside), but once on it’s actually really flattering. Will totally use this.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7-Day Treatment 1oz (sample), $1 I really like this! Most heavy-duty treatments like this leave my hair feeling weighed-down and flat but this one poofs it up the way it’s supposed to. And it does last through several shampoos. A new favorite!
Total value: $21
Summary: Happy with this box! Not as great at the Honor Roll one in terms of items I would have bought anyway but a few fun finds in here (like the John Frieda hair treatment) and definitely stuff I’ll enjoy trying.
