The Target Beauty Box is an intermittent beauty box, usually quarterly, but not on any specific schedule and not available via subscription (you just buy it when it goes up for sale). This time two boxes were released together, this one and “Honor Roll.”
It offers a variety of beauty supplies in a mix of full size and samples and usually costs $5 w/free shipping (sometimes $7). Each box has a theme (this one is “Head of the Class”) and they generally sell out within hours of being released.
The unboxing! I actually ordered and received this box back in July, this belated post is part of my catch-up plan after getting a little behind after a busy summer. :)
Each box comes with a card detailing everything inside, and a coupon for beauty products at Target. So here’s what I got:
Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Illuminating Dry Oil Spray, $6 I like this — it smells great and leaves my hair feeling super silky. It does weigh it down quite a bit, however, so only using it occasionally and in small amounts.
Goody Ouchless Elastics, $1 Basic elastic hair ties — not useful at all for my short hair! Passed these on to my sister-in-law and her two girls. (These also came in the Target Honor Roll Beauty box.)
Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara, $5 Always love a good basic. This is a solid formula and I like that it’s black.
Bathery Pumice Stone, $2 Love! A new one of these was actually on my shopping list, so really happy to see it included here. I could care less about the “2-in-1” feature, however, both “sections” seem to exfoliate about the same.
Hollywood Fashion Tape, $1 (sample) Love it! Mostly because it’s fun. I have had a few occasions in my life where I needed this, and never have tried it, so next time I will!
Yes to Cucumbers 10-Count Wipes, $2 Love these facial wipes — received lots of these (various brands) in many of my summer sub boxes and am using them all up one at a time. These are fresh smelling and feel really gentle.
Covergirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss, $6 Love it. A great color for me, full size, and goes on/lasts great. A great “everyday” gloss.
Total value: $23
Summary: This box was a great value, especially for me since the lip gloss and pumice stone make it 100% worth it. Plus I’ll use and enjoy everything else at least a little (minus the hair ties).
