Julep NovemberJulep is a monthly subscription box of beauty products, usually full-sized and consisting primarily of Julep nail color plus a mix of other items. The cost is $25 month, with the first month usually free with shipping if you catch a sale (and sales happen often — this box cost me $2.99). They promise a $40 value in each box.

Julep Review November 2015Subscriptions usually start off with a special offer and a themed box, this one is the “Metallics Welcome Box,” but future boxes do have fairly substantial customization options.

Julep Review Nov UnboxingSo, here’s what I got! Packaged very well. Also I was totally busy for the holidays so, as is my way, I botched up many of my reviews during November and December. Most are just getting posted late (lots of Novembers still coming here in January) but for this one I never got individual pictures either! And now everything is opened/used/without it’s original packaging and just generally not pretty anymore. Oops!

Oh well, here’s the scoop:

Konjac cleansing sponge, $12 Love! I got my first Konjac sponge in my summer Fab Fit Fun box and used it to death. So happy to have another! Love their mild and gentle exfoliation properties, and the fact that they cleanse skin fairly well with just water (on the days I don’t wear makeup).

Skip the Brush creme-to-powder blush, $24 Love! At first I thought the color was a little wrong for me but it actually looks great on. Very dewy and easy to apply. Using it up!

Metallics welcome kit, $28 Featuring two Julep nail shades: a pale silverish gold (is that a thing? It is now) and a rich shimmery purple. I don’t wear a lot of nail color but these are very pretty.

Total Value: $64

Summary: A really great value, and this box in particular was a total hit for me with the blush and the Konjac sponge. I’m not sure about continuing with Julep right now personally given the heavy focus on nail color, but I think if that’s your thing it’s definitely a good quality box and worth a try.

Have you tried Julep? What do you think of it?
