Not all Ipsy bags are exactly the same — there is a basic customization process based on a short style questionnaire that further evolves as you review and rate the products you receive.

Here’s what I got:
clariSEA Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant, $3.60 Love this stuff! Using it in very small doses because I have somewhat delicate skin, but it’s supposed to “vacuum up impurities” and works by mixing with your usual cleanser or water.
NYX Cosmetics Ipsy Eyeshadow Trio (full size), $4 Eye shadow is something I have very little of, and this is a great basic palette. Love it!
tre’StiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon (full size), $10 Nice in theory, but I’m much more of a lip gloss girl than a lipstick or lip pencil girl. I love the little twist up applicator, and the color is an interesting neutral shade, but the texture just isn’t working for me.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, $6 I wasn’t excited about this at all when I first pulled it out of the bag but I’ve come to love it now that’s the weather is getting colder and drier. And the little tube is super convenient for taking in my purse.
Formula X Nail Color in Ignite, $3 Cutest little nail polish ever! And surprisingly my favorite shade in a long time — I’m not usually into red but this one really works for me. Also its tiny size is perfect since I don’t wear polish all that often.
September “Face Fashion” theme makeup bag This one is okay. I’m not a big fan of gold, but the texture and pattern is interesting.
Total value: $26 (not counting the makeup bag) Great for the $10 price tag, but actually the lowest total value (by a lot) since I started with Ipsy in June! Says something good though if the lowest value is still more than twice the actual price. :)
Summary: Happy with this month. Even though the value is lower than average I am really enjoying everything but the lip crayon — the charcoal scrub and nail polish especially are favorites.
Have you tried Ipsy? If so tell me what you got in your September bag in the comments! Or if you decide to give it a try use this link and give me a few referral points while you’re at it. Thanks!
