Please see my Disclosure Policy for more information.FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription box (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) of “everything you need to be your most beautiful from the inside out.” It costs $49/box with free shipping, and promises a value of $100+ (it’s usually way more than that though).
This is the summer box, my second one (see my Spring box review here). Beautifully packaged as usual!
Detailed information card included with descriptions, websites, and values for everything. So on to the good stuff, here’s what I got:
Wren 14kt Gold and Black Sapphire Necklace, $100 This came in two possible finishes, gold and rose gold, and three possible designs: horseshoe, moon, or heart. I got the gold horseshoe and it’s really sweet. Well made, nice chain. Probably would have preferred the moon but it doesn’t matter because I don’t wear gold! An ongoing problem with me and subscription boxes. It will make a nice gift, however, or maybe I can sell it on the fb swap site.
The Everyday Wireless Speaker by FabFitFun, $29.99 This came in two color possibilities: pink or teal, and as you can see I got teal. It features a rechargeable battery, Bluetooth pairing up to 30 feet, an FM radio, and a latch for hooking it onto anything and everything everywhere you go. I always think gadgets are fun, but was a little worried about where I would use this — I’m not one to need music when Zeplin and I go to the park, or even out hiking. But as it turns out the hubby loves it! He’s using it in the kitchen to listen to sports interviews when he makes breakfast, and in the bathroom when he’s shaving and out in the garage when he’s working on projects. This turned out to be the most used item in the box!
FabFitFun x CosmoBody Jump Rope, $14 Happy to get this! I do already have a jump rope but it’s an old Bally one from years ago and I’m in need of something new. According to the info card jumping rope burns 150 cals in just 10 minutes! Perfect.
Hello Konjac Cleansing Sponge, $12 So I guess these are all the rage lately and I hadn’t tried one yet. But now that I have I agree — they are really cool. Konjac are made from a porous root vegetable, and it serves as a very gentle exfoliator. Gentle enough to use on sensitive skin and around your eyes (they also remove makeup). It’s dry and hard in the package, but when you re-hydrate it with water it gets soft and spongy. You can use it with soap, although plain water is recommended and what I’ve been using. I think it’s awesome. Using it every day!
Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss, $19 (full size) Infused with vitamin E, jojoba seed oil, and flower extract (that’s funny, what flower?) it has a really nice texture and is a perfect for me. Love!
Scratch Nail Wraps, $12 (one set) Oh my, I think these are absolutely hideous. I did put them on however because the wrap part seemed fun, and it is. If you like pretty patterned manicures and hate the mess of polish these are quick and fun to apply. And they lasted a surprisingly long time (well over a week) before there were any noticeable chips.
Gorge “I’ll Make You Look Amazing” Daily Spray, $25 (full size) I love this for the name. I like having an “I’ll make you look amazing” announcement sitting on my bathroom counter in the morning. It gives me a boost! As for the product itself it’s a very nice leave in conditioner. Right up there with all the other very nice leave in conditioners.
Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Moisturizer, $8 (full size) This is fun! It sprays on really fine, and you do need to rub it in a little but it dries really fast. It’s a great moisturizer, especially for summer when I’m in the market for something light. Smells like coconut and makes me think of tanning on the beach (in a good way). I also got this in my Sunshine VoxBox from Influenster, so now we’re set on it for awhile.
Headspace 3-Month Subscription, $39 This is a 3 month subscription to an online app service that “takes you through a series of life-changing, guided meditations when you want, wherever you are.” It’s supposed to be great for changing a negative or unmotivated mindset and getting you back on track. I honestly haven’t tried this yet, but really really mean to do it. Soon. Really.
Inkling Scents Sultry Roll-On Oil Perfume, $25 Somehow I missed photographing this! It was leaking through the cap, just a little, inside the FFF box when I opened it (luckily it didn’t ruin anything) and it was not a good scent for me at all. Too much sandalwood maybe? Who knows. But I think I just kind of dismissed it from the start. I did keep it around for awhile, but I didn’t want it and perfume makes a weird gift, so I ended up just tossing it.
Total value: $285 These always have such an amazing value! Of course that drops when you don’t or won’t use something (like the perfume), but it also leaves so much room for not everything to be a hit.
Summary: Another awesome FabFitFun box! A wonderful mix of items, from jewelry to perfume to beauty care and entertainment, and again I thought it was a great fit for the season. Totally happy with it!
