Daily Goodie Box (www.dailygoodiebox.com) sends out boxes of edible snacks and other goodies for free in exchange for honest feedback on the items. Signing up is free and painless (I haven’t been email spammed or anything) although it seems not everyone is guaranteed a box right when they sign up. It’s a fairly new program I think, so hopefully things are growing. The idea is once you review all the items in one box, you’re eligible for another. And I suppose the more people they get participating, the more products they will get, the more boxes they will send out.
So help a company out and sign up here! It’s 100% free: http://dailygoodiebox.com
I was offered a Daily Goodie Box in exchange for posting this review. It arrived via USPS Priority Mail and upon opening was nicely packaged with a note and tissue paper. Here’s what I got:
Q Drinks Ginger Beer (full size) and Beanitos Black Bean Chips (full snack size) — The Ginger Beer is good but they aren’t kidding about the “sharp ginger bite” — it’s spicy! Fun and different though. And I love the Beanitos — I’ve had them before and they are excellent.
Hampton Creek “Just Mayo” — fun to try a new mayo. It was good! I like the simplicity of ingredients. And Van Holten’s Pickle Ice — what a crazy idea! It’s an ice pop, but instead of cherry or lime or orange flavor it’s pickle flavor. Super odd, but actually not bad. One of the funnest things in the box just because it’s so unusual.
Navitas Naturals Cacao Bar, Navitas Naturals Hemp Peanut Bar, and Cocomels Coconut Milk Caramels — these three were my favorites in the whole box, yum! The bars were chewy and sweet without tasting overdone (very “clean” and natural flavor), and the caramels were absolutely delicious. Soft and not hardly “coconut-y” at all. Such a treat.
Justin’s Honey Peanut Butter + Banana Chips — such a cute little snack package! I’m not a fan of bananas and peanut butter but sent this with the hubby in his lunch and he said it was quite good. Certainly something fun and different.
Nootrobox GO chewable coffee cubes — SO YUMMY. Like dangerously so, ha. If I remember correctly three of them equal about one cup of coffee in terms of caffeine, so you can’t binge or you’ll really be buzzing. They are good sized though, and great for an afternoon pick-me-up when you need an energy boost plus sweet tooth satisfaction. They’re a gummy-like consistency with a sugar coating, not like chocolate.
These last two I’m happy to have but can’t say I’ve really been able to to try yet: Natralia Anti-Itch Soothing Cream — it just missed the bug season for us here but will be nice come next summer! And Gutsy Products Chewy Citrus — haven’t had a need for these either but like the idea of an all-natural fix for nausea. It’s in the medicine cabinet ready for duty.
The box also came with a mix of coupons and some booklets and stickers — Zeplin had fun sticking the stickers and it’s always nice to get more info on unique products.
Overall impression: One of the funnest “sample” boxes I’ve ever received! The products are all full size, nicely packaged and the box contained a great mix of unique items, edible and not, sweet vs savory, etc. There is something in here for everyone, and we enjoyed it all. I’ll be logging on and entering my individual product reviews on the website and then am curious to see how long until I’m eligible to receive another box.
